From the recording The Road
Red earth underneath my shoes. Colder than Nevada snow. I saw light on foggy bay. I walked under the Golden Gate. Oh, carry on. Before you’re dead and gone. Oh, carry on. The road it waits for thee. A home for you and me. I drove cross the USA. I saw pain in every face. Headlights chasing down the dawn. Lost souls each and every one. This life is a ramblin’ stone. This town will one day grow old. I’ll find a place to roam. Cause this life’s a tumblin' storm. The road it waits for thee.
